This week we’re discussing the amazing, life-changing benefits of my favourite practice to uplift your well-being, meditation.
Meditation and mindfulness teacher David Michie said that “If meditation were available in capsule form, it would be the biggest selling drug of all time.”
That’s quite a statement! But one I agree with wholeheartedly. I count meditation as the single best thing I’ve ever done for my well-being.
Now you may have heard that there are numerous benefits to meditation, and maybe even thought, DANG!, I should be doing that. But time passes, and you just don’t get around to it. Or maybe you try it for a little bit, but it’s off and on, really sporadic, and you don’t really get into it enough to feel the benefits.
Well, you’re not alone! Most of us faff around for a while, before we get into it. I faffed around for a couple years, meditating every now and then, trying this and that.
The important thing to know about meditation is that you don’t need to make a big meal out of it. You can start really simply and make things easier on yourself. In fact, it’s best to take it easy and keep it simple when you are beginning.
